You want to improve your cardio and you've heard that jumping rope is a great workout.
I share this opinion, and the jump rope is one of the basic accessories for any respectable CrossFitter! I almost always start my sessions with ten to fifteen minutes of jumping rope to warm up properly before doing other exercises to improve my fitness. It is also possible to have a session that consists solely of jumping rope, varying between single jumps, double jumps, speed, etc., to avoid getting bored too quickly.
Which jump rope to choose?
Cotton, nylon, or plastic ropes are mainly used in school classes, although some athletes also find these materials suitable. Because during intense sports practice, these ropes will require more effort to turn. Therefore, you will ideally need to upgrade to a higher quality, especially when you want to perform double unders, more commonly known as "Double Unders" in the cross-training community (CrossFit for those in the know).
We recommend using a jump rope with a steel wire like the ones offered here, which are also adjustable in length to fit the morphology and size of everyone, men, women, and teens. This model is also available in various colors, to better match your professional jump rope with your sports outfit, because being a little fashionable while working out is not forbidden!
With that, I'll leave you, I'm going to "jump"! ;-)
